Description: The Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia and other neighboring locations have some wonderful spots for photographing fall foliage. On a good year, the color in West Virgina is second to none! You will have a chance to photograph canyons with rivers snaking though, mountain ridges, fog in the valley, blueberry bushes, bogs, forests, streams, waterfalls and landscapes all at the peak of fall color. We will experiment with techniques to create colorful abstract images, capture stunning reflections and explore the effects of long exposures.

Canaan Valley will be home base as it is close to many of the photographic hot spots. A group rate has been arranged and will be available up to one month before the start of the workshop. Complete lodging info will be provided on registration.

Nikhil will get you to the most photogenic locations at the best time of day. There will be a classroom sessions in which he will cover composition and how to use light and color to make compelling photographs. Participants will also have a chance to receive feedback on their images in group critique sessions.

The  physical activity level is easy to moderate. Participants in average health should not have any trouble. If you have any physical or medical condition please contact us before signing up for this tour.
