Immersed in our busy lives, we are sometimes forced to forgo nature's beauty. Nikhil likes to pause, contemplate and then capture nature's poetry via photography. In this way, the magic of the moment stays with him forever.

With a background in 3D Animation and Web Design, Nikhil's transition to the visual art of photography was instinctive. It started with a visit to the Grand Canyon but the more he sees, the more he is enthused by the natural world. Nikhil's primary interests are nature, wildlife and travel photography.

Interpreting a scene is a challenge Nikhil seeks. He consistently tries to impart a fresh perspective with his photographs. Whether the photograph is an individual piece of art or part of a body of work, Nikhil tries to transition the essence of his inspiration from lens to photograph. He currently uses the Nikon D300 and D200 camera bodies along with lenses with focal lengths ranging from 10mm to 400mm.

Nikhil currently teaches photography classes at VisArts, a local arts center in Rockville, MD. His fine art prints are part of many private collections and his images have also been displayed at the following exhibits:
