Description:

This landscape photography workshop has be set up for a small group of only 6 photographers! We will primarily visit locations that are lesser known and outside the national parks. This will allow us to create images that are more unique. Other than composition, you can expect to learn about the finer points of landscape photography. Nikhil will share his knowledge on how to make the most of each opportunity that presents itself. You can expect to return home with plenty of new ideas and a portfolio of images that you will be very happy with.

We will be photographing early and late in the day to take advantage of the best light. We will have short image review sessions some afternoons if we have enough time. Since the days are shorter in the fall, we will maximize our time in the field. At the end of the workshop there will be an extended image review session for the group as well.

This is an active trip and you should be able and willing to do some light hiking (up to 1 mile) with your gear. Most locations we visit offer an option to stay closer to the vehicle. To get to the best photo opps, you will need to hike a little on uneven terrain. You will find this very rewarding, enjoying some unique sights and capturing images that are different. We will be using a 4x4 SUV to access these areas.

Equipment You Should Bring

Tour participants should bring lenses with equivalent focal lengths from 14mm to 400mm. Tripods are a must as well. A full gear and packing list will be provided to participants to prepare for this trip.
