Frequently Asked Questions
Each workshop and tour is customized to the specific locations and subjects we’ll be photographing. For more details, please refer to each listing.
Typically, photography workshops offer a structured learning environment with classroom sessions that include lectures and image reviews. Learning in the field is still central to a workshop's success. To reinforce skill development, we generally avoid long-distance travel and maintain a consistent home base. This approach allows for repeated photographic opportunities with the main subjects, enabling participants to refine their vision and technique.
Our photography tours prioritize maximizing time in the field, especially for international destinations. Tours are designed to give participants a broader photographic experience, covering more ground to showcase the variety of an area or country. This often means changing home base more frequently. While tours may not include formal classroom sessions, we often hold informal image reviews to support participant growth. Photo Adventures and Photo Safari's are essentially photography tours as well.
