Participants will be challenged to think outside the box. Conceptual photography and creating abstracts of common subjects will be points of discussion. We will create abstract art with flowing water and photograph ocean views, beach scenes, patterns and textures in the sand, marshes and plant life. You can expect to see several migratory bird species at this time of year. There may be opportunities to photograph the fabled Chincoteague ponies, Sika Deer, and other wildlife that inhabits the island.

The workshop includes instructional presentations that will inspire and explain how to make dramatic and beautiful photographs at this location. There will be plenty of field instruction that will cover techniques like capturing and freezing motion, long exposures and other creative aspects. A constructive critique of the participant's photographs will complete the workshop.
